Some of you may remember a previous post I shared on gorgeous Emily! Emily is currently undergoing treatment for B-cell ALL. She is among one of the strongest people I know and bravest heros I have ever met! I had the pleasure of capturing moments with her and her family as a participating photographer for Shoots For A Cure, which is an amazing organization in and of itself. In short, after doing her session, I was asked if one of my images of Emily and her precious family could be used in an article that would be published to spread the word about platelet and blood donation.
Immediately I said yes!!!! But this blog entry is not about me, though I am OVER THE MOON, it is about Emily and all those other fighters/survivors that are in need of a donation. You have heard it said so many times that giving of blood and platelets can save a life... literally.... it can. So as a shout out for all those who have not considered making a donation such as this, please reconsider! Giving of blood and platelets can be one of the single greatest gifts you could give someone!
