To say this session was an honor to photograph is certainly an understatement! Today, not only was the highlight of my photography career thus far, but ranks right up there with being one of the happiest times in my life! This is Emily! Not only is she a daughter, sister and friend... but she is one of my heros! Emily was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), a cancer of the white blood cells, earlier this year!
Not only is Emily through the toughest part of her treatment, she has approached her fight with cancer with so much grace and humility. You will notice the prominent colors of purple and orange throughout the images, these colors are significant to Emily and her family for many reasons. I asked Emily to explain in her own words what these colors mean to her and her response...
"The color orange is strength and giving hope to not just kids but anyone who has to stand up against Leukemia. The color purple means everyone together, no matter what you are facing, we all stand together with hope, strength and faith"...
Now do you see why she is one of my hero's?

My sister and I just looked at our portfolio. We are so amazed! The pictures came out stunning just breathtaking. You have no idea how much that day meant to my family and I.
